About takawaka1984

I am 24 years old, laid off from work 5 months ago and looking at my last month of unemployment insurance to live off of at this current time. I have searched for jobs in all corners of my area from retail, sales, entry-level, to jobs that most people are capable of doing. Unfortunately I am either overqualified, they don't like being contacted after your first attempt to follow up, or underqualified for Entry Positions that aren't Entry Level. I'm looking for ways to soften the financial blow in this trying time and economic decline. I'm looking for state aid that may help me keep a roof over my head and food on the table while I take care of my elderly mother so that I can search for a job having peace of mind that there is a tomorrow. I am currently working with 6 staffing agencies and requent 11 job search engines on the web, I don't have much family left after a messy divorce ( not me ) so there is no one for me to go to for advice... I also attend workshops for unemployed but they only offer as far as how to search for jobs on the website at edd.gov. If anyone has any information on grants or aid lines that can be accessed by the public in times of need, I would greatly appreciate any advice. Thank you.
